Peter Busby is one of Canada’s most renowned practicioners of sustainable design. As Managing Director of Busby Perkins+Will in Vancouver, one of North America’s leading green practices, he is involved in the design and sustainable direction of each project the firm engages whether in Canada, the US, or overseas.
A founding member of the Canada Green Building Council, and its past Chairman, he is recognized internationally as a leader in green building design. He shared his experience and knowledge, gained over more than 20 years, in his book, Busby: Learning Sustainable Design, which he published in 2006. His firm has received six Governor General Awards and 11BC Lieutenant Governor Awards, and over 90 others.
Lyse Tremblay, MRAIC, LEED AP

As an architect and MBA graduate [Real Estate finance], Lyse Tremblay has been a consultant in green building and design for the past 15 years. She is also past president of the Order of Architects of Québec Environment committee, past board member of the Canada Green Building Council, and a founding member and director of the Québec chapter.
During her 15 years with a multinational corporation, she dealt directly with energy efficiency, sick building syndrome, and sustainable development. She has worked on numerous important sustainably-designed buildings, and was part of the team responsible for the ground-breaking Mountain Equipment Co-op store in Montreal, winner of several awards and which represented Canada at the Sustainable Building Challenge in Tokyo 2005.
David Sisam B.Arch., OAA, FRAIC, LEED AP

A founding partner of Montgomery Sisam Architects Inc., David Sisam has directed the design of many of their award-winning projects including the Humber River Bicycle Pedestrian Bridge, the George and Kathy Dembroski Centre for Horticulture at the Toronto Botanical Garden and the Arts and Administration Building at the University of Toronto at Scarborough. He has held teaching positions at the University of Toronto and Dalhousie University, and has been a visiting critic at Ryerson University and the University of Waterloo.
Montgomery Sisam Architects have gained wide recognition for their work, receiving more than 45 regional, national and international design awards including a Governor General’s Award and eight Canadian Architect Awards of Excellence.

Manasc Isaac Architects, Edmonton
Vivian Manasc is a leading architect in sustainable design. She is Past President of the Royal Architectural Institute of Canada, a Director of the Canada Green Building Council, Adjunct Professor of Architecture at the University of Calgary, a founding member of the Sustainable Buildings Symposium, co-author of Agora Borealis – Engaging in Sustainable Architecture, and a frequent speaker on sustainable design across Canada.
Manasc Isaac Architects is a leader in cold-climate sustainable design in western Canada and has been recognized with a number of significant architectural awards, including the Governor General's Award in Architecture.

An innovation leader, Dermot Sweeny’s passion for green building has put him at the forefront of a movement to design office and residential buildings that create communities at all scales while increasing comfort.
He has been honoured with many professional awards for his designs, most notably the City of Toronto Urban Design Award, Heritage Toronto Award and Mississauga Urban Design Award. Highly recognized projects include the Loblaw Companies Limited headquarters and TELUS Tower [with Adamson Associates Architects]. A popular speaker at events in North America, Europe and South America, he works with such notable clients such as Adidas, BMW, Microsoft and Prada.
Andre Perrotte, OAQ, AAPPQ, OAA, FRAIC, Principal
Saucier + Perrotte Architectes, Montreal
Andre Perrotte is widely recognized for the rigor and creativity of his approach towards architecture and construction as an expression of contemporary culture. He has taught and been a visiting critic at the University of Montreal, University of Quebec [Montreal], University of Waterloo, University of Toronto, and McGill University.
Saucier + Perrotte Architectes has gained international notice for its institutional, cultural and residential projects, receiving over 50 awards, including five Governor General's Medals in Architecture. The firm’s work has been published the world over, and in 2004 it represented Canada at the prestigious Architecture Biennale of Venice, reflecting its stature as one of Canada’s premier architecture firms.

A Founding Partner of Bunting Coady Architects in Vancouver, Teresa Coady is as an innovator in sustainable and energy efficient design, and a pioneer of the Integrated Design Process (IDP), which successfully involves the client in all aspects of design and construction. Her vision, to create ‘living breathing buildings’™, has led the firm to over 50 awards for design quality and building performance, including the BOMA Earth Award on four separate occasions. Bunting Coady Architects has more square footage of new construction LEED® Gold certified projects than any other firm in North America.
She has been appointed to the BC government’s Climate Action Team (CAT), which will examine ways in which the BC government can achieve its goal of reducing greenhouse gas emissions in the province by 33% below current levels by the year 2020.
As a member of SB08, (Sustainable Buildings 2008) ‘Team Canada’, Teresa Coady was part of a group showcasing Canadian achievements to the World Sustainable Building Conference in Melbourne, Australia in September, 2008.

Stephen is an architect licensed in Ontario, concerned with green buildings and sustainable energy. At NRCan, he leads R&D in the design and assessment of sustainable buildings, lectures and assists the design and construction community on how to best approach green building developments, and acts as a technical authority on sustainable buildings program and strategic development.
He participated in the development of the EE4J software, which supports the Model National Energy Code of Canada for Buildings and the Commercial Building Incentive Program; the ATHENA Environmental Impact Estimator software, and the RETScreen passive solar heating model. With the C-2000J Program for Advanced Commercial Buildings, Stephen promoted integrated design and assisted with whole building energy analysis.
He is a member of the Royal Architectural Institute of Canada, Ontario Association of Architects, CaGBC Ottawa Region Chapter, and the Ottawa Regional Society of Architects.
John Potter, B.Arch., OAA

John Potter is a project architect with Shore Tilbe Irwin & Partners, a Toronto-based firm that has won awards for several projects, including the Toronto Nathan Phillips Square revitalization [2007],Ontario Library Association Award of Excellence for Whitby Public Library & Civic Square [2007], and a Wood WORKS! Building the Future Award [2006], to name a few. His work on the Fathom Five National Park Visitor Centre in Tobermory, ON, and published in SABMag, has given him recent first-hand experience in applying sustainable design principles
